About Gordon Sinclair
For Gordon Sinclair, a real estate investment expert based in New Jersey, nothing comes close to the feeling of watching his children grow and become incredible human beings. To him and his wife, who had kids late in life, being able to see the world anew through the eyes of their children is nothing short of a blessing. As an adult, everything that seems mundane to Gordon is brand new to his kids—their excitement is palpable and contagious, helping him and his wife appreciate the little things life has to offer.
As a family, they enjoy spending time outside in nature together. When the weather allows, they can be found in the mountains skiing and hiking or at the beach or lake, fishing, flying kites, and building sandcastles. Growing up in central New York, Gordon learned to ski at a young age, a skill he’s passed onto his son. The four of them participate in many outdoor activities including kicking a soccer ball around the yard or going for a simple walk—with the exception of Isla, who enjoys the sights from a backpack or stroller.
Nature has always been an essential part of Gordon Sinclair’s life. As a child, he spent a lot of time outdoors with his parents skiing, sailing, and participating in water sports. The feeling of the sun on his face and the wind in his hair has always made him feel most alive, and he is deeply grateful that, as a parent, he can pass on his love and appreciation for nature to his children.
Gordon considers parenthood an opportunity to make the world a better place and give back to society. He and his wife believe that the key to parenting is accepting that you will make mistakes and that doing so is completely normal. When you fail, you learn and grow—and that’s also one of the most important lessons you can teach your child. Gordon’s wife, a teacher, prefers to ask their children what they tried during their day that didn’t work, followed up by asking what they’d do differently next time.
Outside of his personal life, Gordon Sinclair has been in the real estate investment industry for over two decades. He holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Policy Studies and Geography, as well as an MBA and MS in Information Systems from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. To date, he has worked in multiple executive-level positions in some of the most respected real estate companies in the country.
