This is said to making a comeback this year due to many not wanting to leave the country after the virus, but where would you go? The Grand Canyon – Arizona
The Grand Canyon is a go-to destination for a family vacation. With its beautiful plateau and rock formations, it definitely won’t disappoint if you and your family have yet to see it. While you are there you can also stop to visit the Grand Canyon Village. This quaint tourist stop also has a lodge and shopping and is located on the southern rim of the Grand Canyon National park in Arizona. From there you can learn how the Grand Canyon Villiage formed around the Santa Fe Railroad.
Longwood Gardens – Kennet Square, Pennsylvania
A sight to see in almost any season Longwood Gardens boast some of the most beautiful flower gardens on the east coast. Explore their beautiful treehouses, their stunning Catawaba Hybrid Rhododendron gardens, and learn about the history of this stunning nature display.
The Saint Louis Zoo – Saint Louis Missouri
One of few free zoos’s in the US this zoo and boasts a massive 90 acres. This zoo has almost every animal that you can think of with an updated Penguin exhibit, a new Primate Canopy Trail, and much more. This year the zookeepers have even been on the lookout for the newest member of the zoo a baby Asian elephant that will soon be making their debut. If you go during the summer they even have an exhibit where you can hand-feed stingrays!
Big Bear National Park – California
A stunning lake that resides in Southern California is the largest recreation lake that is about 7 miles in length and a mile wide at its widest point. In the winter Big Bear becomes a favorite spot of skiers and snowboarders who flock to Snow Mountain and Bear Mountain resorts. This beautiful spot is about 93 miles northeast of Los Angeles and you can get there in a short two-hour drive depending on traffic and the road conditions.
Freedom Trail – Washington, DC
The freedom trail is an extensive collection of unique museums in Washington, DC. Along this trail you will encounter The Boston Common, The Massachusetts State House, Park Street Church, The Granary Burying ground, King’s Chapple and King’s Burying Ground, Old Corner Bookstore, and so many more. Washington, DC boasts so much history from the beginning of this country if you are a history buff you will never be bored.
