Florida’s Cocoa Beach is a popular spring break spot for families. To visit nearby Port Canaveral, families can get there by taking its Cocoa Beach Trolley. Those who prefer to stay at the beach can always enjoy boogie boarding. And for some indoor activities, families can head to Merrit Island National Wildlife Refuge. Attractions include Ancient Cultures and the Museum of Dinosaurs.

Families can also head over to Tampa to visit St. Pete Beach. In Downtown Saint Petersburgh are restaurants and shops, along with Sawgrass Lake Park, where it is easy to spot alligators.

A relaxing spring break getaway is Lake Placid. At the Lake Placid Olympic Center, visitors can learn the history of the Olympics. The center also boasts a year-round ice skating rink. Families can take a relaxing boat ride on the lake or trek through the woods.

Another fun getaway for the spring is Greenville, South Carolina. Downtown Reedy is home to Falls Park, where visitors can enjoy a picnic lunch. For families with children, a popular attraction is the Greenville Zoo. Visitors that enter the zoo on a Thursday can even enjoy taking part in a learning safari. Other activities in Greenville include swimming, hiking, and fishing for bass on Lake Jocassee.

In Blairsville, Georgia, those visiting over spring break can spend some quality time outdoors. Must-see attractions include Wolf Creek Falls and the Appalachian Trail. For the duration of April and May, horseback riding is a popular activity here. Visitors will also catch a glimpse of blooming mountain laurels and rhododendrons.

Spring break is the perfect time to visit Tempe, Arizona. Not only is it the ideal location for foodies, it also has attractions the whole family can enjoy. These include the Phoenix Zoo, the Desert Botanical Garden, and Papago Park.

Those already in Arizona should make it a point to visit Sedona too. There are lots of opportunities for off-roading, hiking, and zip lining. The highlight of a visit to Sedona is its natural rock formations.
